ECO-TECTURE • commercial MED SPA HEALING CENTERA landscape design was developed for the healing gardens that surround a psychological med-spa institute. A waterscape feature was designed to provide visual and sensory experiences for the patients to use prior to and after their session. ECO-TECTURE • residential TERRA DEL SOLThis is a passively solar heated and cooled residence. Expansive southern glazing was combined with the thermal mass of two curvilinear earthen walls that act to separate the sunroom from the living spaces. The rammed earth walls (16” thick) temper the daily solar gains and store the heat within the earthen mass. ECO-TECTURE • residential SONOMA RESIDENCEA fully integrated Eco-efficient 'green' (zero-energy) home. Straw-bale walls plastered with natural lime, super-insulate this passive solar dwelling. Interior walls constructed from the building sites subsoil (cast earth) function as thermal mass. A 'living' roof blankets the entire building keeping the interior cool even on the hottest summer days. |
