Berkeley Place
The entire roof of a 8 story apartment building was designed to be an amenity space for the tenants. An elevator and staircase offer access to an urban rooftop oasis.
A central patio space is surrounded on all sides by roof gardens. A solar hot water system array forms an open air canopy creating a shaded environment for gathering. The planting palette reflects the various rooftop conditions, i.e., full sun, partial sun, and a range of shaded zones.
The 50 unit apartment building was built to Leed Gold Standards.
