Xylem House

Originally designed by an apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright the house original garden roof was in need of a full restoration.

The living roof was reimagined to be a biodiverse pollinator friendly meadow. Undulating waves of mounded rooftop soil created a mellow typography across the roof. The hills and dells were planted with different species of plants.

A shallow pond offers up drinking water for visiting birds and other native pollinators.
